Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. Person must have with experience working with adolescents or young adults on the Autism Spectrum and be able to think on your feet and be comfortable with redirecting challenging behaviors.
H 4. Community outings As a Behavior Technician and Personal Support Staff/Caregiver you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with autism and other behavioral health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
-Communication partner: Playing a key role in helping develop, model communication skills with an augmentative communication device and other tools (training provided)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism
- Collect data on client progress and behavior
elping with and actively encouraging and supporting leisure and meaningful activities both inside and outside of the home, in accordance with individual interests.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure consistent care
- Utilize crisis management techniques when necessary
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or behavioral health needs preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and crisis intervention strategies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 36 per week
